Hello, my name is Fiona McIntyre. I am a Medical Herbalist, practicing in the Highlands of Scotland. I graduated from Edinburgh Napier University in 2010 with an honours degree in Herbal Medicine. A year later I moved to the Highlands and began practicing. I started in Forres and later moved my practice to Inverness where I am still located. I am a member of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists (NIMH).
My background is in wildlife conservation and environmental management, where I worked in various roles for twenty years. It was through that that I developed an interest in the uses of plants and in particular their medicinal uses. Together with a growing desire to help people this was my motivation to study and practice Herbal Medicine.
With my background I am particularly interested in the medicinal properties of British native plants. However I use plants form all the world, depending on what is most appropriate for the patient.
